Your Local Austin Real Estate Guide
Most people looking to purchase real estate in Austin are well aware of its beautiful lakes, great universities, and that it is the capitol of Texas. But, many also know it as the Live Music Capitol of the World. Austin boasts over 200 live music venues! You can go see a great live band play any day of the week at almost any time.
As Austin grows, so does its music scene. Back in my earlier years, practically the only place you could go to see live music was the infamous 6th Street. Still a popular destination for out of towners, the college crowds and the regulars, 6th Street is by no means the “place to be” for live music anymore.
If you are just visiting Austin for a short time and want to catch some great live music, here is are my top four selections:
Mean Eyed Cat – West 5th Street
Antone’s – Warehouse District
Stubb’s BBQ – Red River District
La Zona Rosa – Warehouse/2nd Street District
